K-SYSTEM
Extensive and versatile modular range provides economic signal transfer between field devices and control systems. It supports all installation techniques (Din-Rail, KF Profile or Motherboard) and supply voltages in one system. Channel related wiring faults are indicated by LED and are also output in groups via power rail.
Offering flexible, application-oriented installation options and ease of servicing from individual isolating modules, through to construction of large systems. The associated galvanically isolated field circuits are devised so that they are intrinsically safe. For areas in which this is not required, the K-System also offers cost-effective solutions without Ex-protection.
REMOTE PROCESS INTERFACE (RPI)
Is a comprehensive, Din-rail mounted modular remote I/O system, with Ex and non-Ex capabilities. The system is fully redundant, and can be safe area or zone 2 mounted. Elimination of safe area wiring makes it more cost effective in terms of installation, maintenance and system upgrades. I/O modules have 1, 2 or 4 channels, and up to a maximum 125 modules are allowed per gateway.
Gateways are available for Profibus DP, Modbus RTU, Modbus Plus and ControlNet. HART signals are passed via the power rail to a HART communication module. The RPI system can be configured and/or monitored via KSK1 HMI software.
INTRINSICALLY SAFE REMOTE PROCESS INTERFACE (IS-RPI)
Provides a truly distributed I/O system for zone 1 installation. The multi-channel modules plug into interlocking din-rail mountable terminal bases, that incorporate the field wiring terminals as well the back plane signal to the gateway.
Gateways are available for use with Modbus RTU, Profibus DPE and PA as well as ControlNet. A maximum of 8 I/O modules are allowed per gateway. Configuration of the system is via the Bus master or Pepperl & Fuchs own PACTware suite of software.
