SAFETY MATS
Tapeswitch CKP safety mats are heavy duty pressure-sensitive sensors which are also designed to protect personnel working at, or around, hazardous machinery. As soon as a person steps on a CKP mat, a stop signal is sent via the interface unit to the machine control circuit, preventing dangerous motion. The mats can be custom-made to various shapes and sizes and feature durable switch elements and fail-safe operation.

Tapeswitch offers a wide range of controllers with varying degrees of safety integrity levels. All of the controllers provide constant monitoring of the sensor device. In the event of failure within the sensor or its cable (open circuit or short circuit) the controller automatically detects this failure.

In addition to the ability to detect a failure within the sensor or its cabling, the PSSU series is designed to detect a failure within the controller itself.

SAFETY EDGES
Tapeswitch sensing edges include the high durability TS46D pressure-sensitive edge which protects against injury from machinery, moving doors and gates etc. by detecting contact and then providing a stop signal to remove dangers automatically. The TS46D can be custom-made to any configuration & like all Tapeswitch edges, has fail-safe wiring as standard.
